Privacy
Your data stays yours
Last updated 2026-10-18. In short: Nouis has no telemetry and no account, and never sends your data to us.
What the app collects
Nothing. Nouis contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking code, and does not require an account. We cannot see who uses it, what you connect to, or what you run.
Where your information lives
Connections, projects, query history, saved queries, logs and settings are stored on your Mac in ~/Library/Application Support/Nouis. Database, SSH, cloud storage and AI passwords and keys are stored only in the macOS Keychain.
Who Nouis talks to
- The database servers you configure, directly or through the SSH tunnels you set up.
- The backup destinations you choose (for example Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2 or Backblaze B2).
- The alert webhooks you add (for example Slack or Discord).
- If you enable the AI assistant, the provider you pick. Only your schema (table and column names, types, keys and relationships) is sent, never row data. With Ollama or LM Studio, nothing leaves your Mac.
